At AtkinsRéalis, our Design & Advanced Technology practice brings together some of the UK's most diverse engineering and design expertise to tackle the most complex challenges facing our clients and communities.

We are seeking an Airport Civil Engineer to join our growing Aviation team and play a key role in shaping some of the UK's and world's most exciting airport infrastructure projects. You will contribute to the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across major UK airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, alongside a growing range of international commissions.

With a strong pipeline of work spanning airfield infrastructure, terminal developments, landside transport schemes, airport expansion programmes and sustainability initiatives, you will join a nationally connected multidisciplinary team delivering projects that are critical to the future of aviation. We offer a diverse and inclusive environment where talent is recognised, developed and supported, providing an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical expertise, take on increasing responsibility and progress towards professional Chartership.

You will contribute to the planning, design and delivery of airport and airfield civil engineering projects across all stages of the project lifecycle. Working closely with airport planners, aviation specialists, engineers, environmental consultants and project managers, you will help develop innovative and practical solutions that enhance passenger experience, improve operational performance, strengthen resilience and support the sustainable growth of airports.

We welcome applications from engineers with airport experience as well as those from other civil engineering sectors looking to develop their careers in aviation. We are committed to aligning opportunities with individual skills, experience and career aspirations, while providing the mentoring, technical development and professional support needed to achieve long-term career goals.

You’ll benefit from:

• Access to a strong and growing pipeline of airport and airfield infrastructure projects.
• Opportunities to work on major aviation programmes at leading UK and international airports.
• Structured Chartership and professional development support, or continued development following Chartership.
• Collaboration with leading multidisciplinary teams across aviation, transport, engineering, environment and project delivery.
• Opportunities to influence projects from concept development through to construction and operational delivery.
• A culture that promotes innovation, technical expertise and long-term career growth.
• We offer hybrid working which involves 3 days per week being office/site based. This position can be based from our offices in London Nova, Epsom, or Manchester.

Your role

You will gain exposure to a broad range of technical challenges, clients, and project types, helping you build a rewarding and long-term career within one of the UK's leading water consultancies.

You will:

• Contribute to projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and construction.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality assurance in design.
