Graduate / Junior Dev Ops / Platform Engineer

Neat brings people together with beautifully simple, versatile video devices and experiences. By minimising the physical and virtual divide, we enable everyone to feel more connected, present and understood, however they prefer to work. We aim to make our technologies so intuitive that terms like "in-office" and "remote" will seem obsolete in five years. Neat's pioneering portfolio addresses the needs of today's workplace and natively supports Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and a range of compelling business apps.

We are an ambitious, accountable, collaborative, responsible, and growing team that fosters an environment where creativity and ingenuity can flourish. We strive to bring out the best in our Neaters and make amazing products and experiences. We are headquartered in Oslo with Neaters working all over the world and a new R&D office in Cambridge.

The Team

The Cambridge team at Neat are responsible for building and delivering the award-winning cloud management platform for the best-in-class hybrid/smart office technologies offered by Neat. We have a transparent and friendly working culture, with a wide variety of technical backgrounds. Regardless of experience, everyone brings something different to the team, and we are always learning from each other. Quality is important to us, so we take our testing and reviews seriously. We're proud of the products and systems we have delivered, but we also hold ourselves to the highest standard, and we're constantly expanding and improving our offerings. The successful candidate will play an active role in that journey from day one.

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated tech-lover to join our small team, building and scaling our cloud platform, testing, delivery pipeline and automation systems. The role will involve designing, implementing and operating solutions in both our infrastructure and developer tooling. This will include (but is not limited to) technologies like:

• Docker

• Kubernetes/Helm

• Terraform

• Cloud Deployment and networking (Azure experience a plus, but not required)

• Databases and other data storage tech

• Automated testing tools and frameworks

• Metrics and monitoring systems

• Security

• Continuous integration systems

The successful candidate will have graduate-level interest/exposure to possibly a few years’ experience with some of these technologies (or equivalent alternatives). Equally important is a love of technology and an enthusiasm for solving problems, and for designing and building robust, scalable tech stacks that will power our cloud systems into the future. You'll be supported by experienced senior engineers and be part of a team of passionate people of all levels, solving all kinds of problems. There will also be the chance to explore and test new technologies for enhancing the delivery platform or the product itself. As well as building systems for performance and high availability, over time the successful candidate will join our incident response team; investigating, mitigating and solving both internal and external problems in real time.
